Setsubun and Obake

Event for against evil calls “Setsubun”. Maiko preparation is different from the normal in this day.

Hassaku

The day, Maiko and Geiko visit related people such as schools masters of tea, dancing and other with formal wear of black color Kimono with crest. This event is based on Chinese calendar's traditional events which gratitude for harvest.

Onshukai

presentation of school masters. Each of them have different name such as; Mizuekai of Miyagawa Cho, Suimeikai of Ponto Cho, Kotobukikai of kami Shichi Ken.

Jidai Matsuri

A parade from Gosho to Heian Jingu.
The parade wear is variable from Heian period to Edo period. Maiko and
Geiko also present in there.

Kanikaku Matsuri

Geiko, Maiko and Kagai related people visit stone monument of a poet Isamu Yoshi who loved Gion.

Gion Odori

Sutumn's only one public performance in Gion Kaikan. It is able to satisfy dancing of Geiko and Maiko.

Gion Kouta Matsuri

The event held in Maruyama Park's stone monument of “Gion Kouta” which Maiko read the lyrics of the song.

Minamiza Kaomise Soken

Kagai Soken is an annual event in the end of the year with Kabuki which is strongly related. Geiko and Maiko visit to public performance to learn instrumental playing from them.

Koto Hajime

preparation for the New Year. And it is important to go for greeting to masters, Ozashiki and Chaya.

Okotousan

the end of the year greeting to Chaya calls “Okotousan”.
